Welcome to Locals Lens (“Locals Lens,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Locals Lens website, forms, communications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing, submitting information to, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

Privacy Policy

Locals Lens respects your privacy.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information submitted through the Platform, including information provided via forms and email communications.

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

About the Service

Locals Lens is a marketplace that connects independent content creators (“Creators”) with businesses and agencies (“Businesses”) seeking user-generated content (“UGC”).

Locals Lens is not an employer, agent, manager, broker, or representative of any user. We do not control, supervise, or direct Creators or Businesses.

All services, deliverables, and agreements are entered into directly between Creators and Businesses.

Access, Registration, and Communications

Certain features of the Platform may require users to submit information through forms, email, or other means in order to participate in creator opportunities or business bookings.

By submitting information to Locals Lens, you agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete

  • Locals Lens may communicate with you via email regarding opportunities, bookings, or Platform-related matters

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of communications sent to you

Locals Lens does not currently require user accounts to access its services. Account-based features may be introduced in the future, at which point additional terms may apply.

Platform Role & Limitations

Locals Lens:

  • Does not create content

  • Does not guarantee performance, engagement, or results

  • Does not verify how content is ultimately used

  • Does not supervise Creators or Businesses

Certain services, including creator matching, communications, bookings, and confirmations, may be conducted manually or via email. Such activities are considered use of the Platform and are governed by these Terms.

Payments & Fees

Payments for services facilitated by Locals Lens are processed through third-party payment providers.

Locals Lens may:

  • Collect service or platform fees in connection with bookings

  • Invoice Businesses directly or facilitate payments between parties

  • Deduct applicable platform fees prior to or after payment, as applicable

Unless otherwise stated in writing, Locals Lens does not act as an escrow agent and does not hold funds on behalf of Creators or Businesses.

Payment timing, release of funds, refunds, and dispute handling may vary depending on the specific arrangement and will be communicated at the time of booking.

Fees paid to Locals Lens are non-refundable except as expressly stated in a written agreement or dispute resolution outcome.

User Content

“User Content” includes any content, materials, or information submitted through the Platform, including text, images, video, and files.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and releases to submit and license such content.

Locals Lens reserves the right to remove User Content at its discretion.

Content Ownership & Licensing

Creators retain ownership of their original content unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Businesses receive only the usage rights expressly stated in the applicable content licensing agreement associated with each booking.

No rights are transferred by implication.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes

  • Misrepresent identity or authority

  • Upload infringing, misleading, or harmful content

  • Circumvent payment systems or platform fees

  • Solicit users to complete transactions outside the Platform

Violations may result in suspension or termination of access.

Third-Party Services

The Platform may include links to third-party websites or services. Locals Lens is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

Locals Lens respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

LOCALS LENS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCALS LENS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Disputes Between Users

Disputes between Creators and Businesses are solely between those parties. Locals Lens may, but is not obligated to, assist with dispute resolution.

Termination

Locals Lens may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time for violations of these Terms or at its discretion.

Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

General Provisions

  • If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Locals Lens

  • You may not assign your rights without our written consent
